- Are you using the correct lamp wattage for your fixture? Check the fixture for the correct wattage.
- Check all connections including from track to adaptor, adaptor to fixture, and fixture to lamp. Improper connections will produce arcing and overheating. Excess heat may cause contacts in the socket to remain in an 'open' position and prevent lamp retention.
- For spotlights and adjustable fixtures, adjust the fixture to the desired position before locking the retaining collar and always re-tighten the colloar after adjustments are made.
- Do not handle the lamps with your bare hands; the oils on your hand may lead to short lamp life.
